I was pleased to have two riders come for the ride. I was afraid that the cold and wind would mean no one else would come out.
We all rode together throughout the ride and everyone took their turn at the front and worked hard. The wind was mostly out of the north and the route mostly headed south before looping back to the north for the return. We knew it was going to be hard work on the return and it was. However, with the group and with everyone taking turns at the front it wasn’t so bad.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the ride; I know I did. I’m glad I had help on the return; it would have been a really long slog into the wind alone. I was really surprised at our average; I would have expected it to be slower with so much wind.
Lynne let us know at the end of the ride that today was her birthday. Happy birthday Lynne!
