Route - Livingston to Hawthorne, up Mason Springs, around Pisgah Marbury to Bicknell, Sweetman, Chicamuxen to Smallwood Church and onto Mason Springs again. Stuckey, Poorhouse, Ripley, Hawthorne and return on Bumpy Oak.

Weather - About 33 in the parking lot, warming to a steady 38 for over half the ride. Sunny! Felt quite comfortable for a winter day.

AMS -  Not recorded.

Mechanicals/Mishaps - Two miles after leaving Bryans Road, I had a flat on Livingston. We walked to a nice sunny spot and fortunately found the culprit quickly - one of those tiny wires. With Don's help, we were quickly on our way again.

Second "mishap" - End of the ride, Don's bike now sitting on its car rack and we heard a loud BANG. A blowout on his rear tire, with about a half inch slice near the tread, in the upper part of the sidewall.

Report - We had a good ride, chatted a lot and enjoyed getting some sunny miles before the next couple of days of snow and freezing rain.
