Route: our favorite rail trail, the IHRT from Indian Head Village Green to White Plains and back
Weather: sunshine, light breezes, temps from the mid 70s to mid 80s, and a bit more humidity but still pretty nice
AMS: low 13s or higher for most of us
Mechanicals/Mishaps: none reported
Report: lots of different small groups traveling at various speeds, all with copious amounts of conversational cycling. Wildlife sightings included turtles, lizards, two great blue herons together, rabbits, groundhogs, and plenty of butterflys. At White Plains, we encountered a couple on a Bushnell Tandem that were traveling cross country. They had started in Oregon and with a final destination of the Atlantic. From the IHRT, they were going to head over the the Three Notch Trail, work there way down through St Mary's County, and ferry over the Eastern Shore over the weekend. The Bushnell was constructed with S&S couplings and could be configured for 3 or 4 riders. Quite interesting.
