Report: Seven club members took advantage of this beautiful Sunday morning and rode backroads of Prince George's County with rest stops at the Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary and Patuxent River Park. Before starting the ride it was noted that women outnumbered men 5 to 2. Four riders had bikes made by Seven. The first exciting part of the ride was the traffic light at MD 301 and Dyson Rd which allowed us to cross the roads much more safely than before the light was placed. The second exciting part was enjoying the picnic tables in the shade at the Wildlife sanctuary. We had an interesting discussion with Liam, who explained the differences between gps locating devices. The third exciting part was seeing fellow club members Lisa and her husband also enjoying a beautiful day on the bike. At our second rest stop we lost track of Sue when she took a side excursion into the woods looking for fruit of the paw paw tree. We decided to go on not knowing if she was still in the park. Fortunately she saw one of us on the road. She chased, thinking we were ahead, only to catch up to Holly and Karen who left before the rest of us to get a head start. The rest of us continued the ride, getting back to the start without incident, finding Holly, Karen, and Sue. A good ride with good company.
