Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31234938 34 miles, 1094' elevation gain. Starting from the Livingston Road parking lot on the IHRT, we took the Trail to Bumpy Oak, south to Marshall Corner, Ripley to Poorhouse to Burch, MD-6 to Blossom Point and a rest stop at Goose Bay. Returning on Mill Swamp, Fire Tower, Annapolis Woods and Poorhouse, we had a second stop at the Pisgah store while some of us visited the rest room at the Pisgah Firehouse. We returned to the start via Mason Springs to Pisgah Marbury, Bicknell and Chicamuxen to Hawthorne and Livingston.
Weather: Overcast. It was bright enough to require sun glasses, but we never saw the sun or any trace of blue sky. Temperatures in the mid-60s to low 70s and 10 mph winds made for a cool day.
Mishaps & mechanicals: Mary had a flat at the Pisgah store. She's often talked about how hard it is to get tires on and off her deep-V aero rims, and today Debby, Stephanie and Cathy got to see the truth of that first hand. However, many hands made the tire come off, and the Kool Stop Bead Jack re-mounted it.
