It was spitting some rain at the start but that soon stopped. When we got back to the cars it was spitting rain again; by the time we loaded-up and left it was really raining. Essentially, there was no rain during the ride.
The clothing choices were a study in contrasts. Brad rode in a short sleeved jersey, shorts, and fingerless gloves. I rode with a short sleeved jersey over a long sleeved base layer, shorts with leggings, and full (unlined) gloves. Matthew was sort of dressed between these two extremes. I was too hot just before the rest stop but not too bad and I was comfortable again after the rest stop when it clouded over again. Brad never complained about being cold so I guess he wasn’t.
The ride itself was enjoyable but nothing particularly noteworthy happened. We mostly rode together with some minor splitting of the group toward the end with regrouping at various points.
It was an enjoyable ride and it was luckily timed to avoid the rain.
