10/25 Friday ALL class Indian Head Rail Trail ~20 miles

Fri, October 25, 2019 10:00 AM | Ron Altemus (Administrator)

Leader:  Ron Altemus

Members:  Jackie and Randy Schoch, Esther Steward, Larry Peed, Troy Eddy, Vicki Garlock, Donaro Gardner, Jane & Jim Hudnall

Route:  the Friday special:  IHRT from Livingston Rd parking lot to White Plains and return.  Approx. 20 miles

Weather:  a cool, overcast start with temps in the mid 50s and air moving out of the SW, warming to low 60s with occasional sun at White Plains and return.

AMS:  varied immensely

Mechanicals/Mishaps:  none

Report:  Troy joined us with his new ORANGE Catrike performance tricycle.  Quite the machine and the same color as his truck:  ORANGE!  He tooled along quite smartly and loves it.  For the rest of us, on our diamond frames, it was another pleasant morning of riding on the trail.  Not much in the way of wildlife other than squirrels but numerous other trail users.  Trees along the trail are starting to show some color.  When the Wednesday Southern Exposure rode the from Bensville to Bumpy Oak, everything was green.  So changes in just two days as autumn continues.  Several riders either started early or finished late by including the section from the parking lot to Village Green and back as part of their excursion.
