Weather:   Partly sunny, temp range from mid 50s to mid 60s, air moving out of the SW

AMS:  swept at 11.5, increasing for those preceding the final contingent

Mechanicals/Mishaps:   one rider thought their cycling shoes were in the vehicle, and when discovered otherwise, decided they would ride in their street shoes.  The ride leader, whose pedals are platform on one side, SPD cleat on the other, offered to swap - an offer that wasn't refused.  Several minutes were lost at the start unscrewing balky pedals, but once underway, everything was good.

Alan had a flat, maybe on Poorhouse(?), and after careful examination of the tire, decided against continuing and returned to the start.

Report:   It's always a treat to visit everyone's favorite, the Goose Bay Marina.  Today's excursion had an added bonus as President Donaro and remaining club members presented a check to the Marina management.  The club made a small "facilities" donation as we use their porch and restrooms quite often and the board felt we should contribute to the costs of upkeep.  As to the riding - quite a bit of fragmentation.  After the aforementioned slow start, the CC/C contingent was the last to arrive at Goose Bay.  We saw many of the faster riders exiting on Brentland.  Following the presentation, Jim, Lou, and Donaro rode at a slower pace while Joan and Pat abbreviated their ride by skipping Chicamuxen.  Another good day of cycling in the southwestern portion of Charles County.
