Report: the colder weather must have kept quite a few riders from venturing out this morning. When no one else had arrived by 9:50, Donaro and your faithful correspondent decided to ride west to Indian Head, hoping that if the Hudnalls were going to ride, we'd be back to the parking lot before they got going. That wasn't the case and we didn't see them until our rest stop at White Plains. Only one other cyclist out on the trail along with a 1/2 dozen or less walkers. Just east of the Bumpy Oak pond on the outbound leg, we encountered a big stag deer standing right next to the trail. He was facing away from us and we got about 50 feet away, slowing as we approached, before he finally heard us and bolted into the woods. The deer had quite a rack - 10-12 point at least and we were glad it didn't run towards us. Lunch afterwards at the Lunch Box in Bryan's Road gave us a chance to warm up a bit.
