For some reason, I was thinking that no one was going to come to the ride (although if I had checked my email I would have known Pete was coming). I anyway, Barb showed up shortly after I arrived, followed in short order by Pete and George.
There was the usual dithering for this time of year about what to wear. I decided at the last minute to go with less rather than more and I was glad I did.
The ride leader called a quick bio-break at the Chaptico Market. The port-a-john was disgusting but served the purpose. After that we had an uneventful ride to real rest stop at McKay’s.
After the stop we had a quick and uneventful ride to the end. One rider decided to stay on the 3-Notch Trail to the end instead of turning on Lockes Crossing Road; this saved about a mile and one hill.
It was a great ride with everyone staying together and a really nice fall day. Thanks for joining me Lady and Gentlemen.
