Weather: temps ranging from 43 to 47; starting off w/mostly cloudy skies giving way to mostly sunny by rides end with annoying WNW winds of 13-15 mph.
AMS: 13.7 mph at the rear
Report: as usual, North Keys Park was the coldest and windiest place in the entire Greater DC metropolitan area at ride start. Lisha and Lou rode from home and both commented that conditions worsened as they reached the park. Once we made the turn onto Brandywine Road heading east, though, a wonderful tailwind had us moving quite smartly. For most of the ride, the wind wasn't too bad of a factor until the final stretch back on Brandywine Road from Baden where it seemed to become fiercer, making for a slow slog to Gibbons Church. Basically two groups for the ride, one fast, one slower. We did the Young/Truman Manor as a group before resettling back into the respective groupings.
Item of interest: Dent has been repaved from Cedarville to St Peters though not yet striped. Very pleasant riding on the new surface.
