It was a chilly start but we were soon warm enough. By the end of the ride we were hot and sweaty; that is riding in the winter.
If you look at the average, you can see that the AA ride classification was more aspirational than actual. The ride leader is to blame. Brad did most of the pulling but I was slow due to my 50 mile ride on Saturday. It was only a few weeks ago that two back-to-back rides of these lengths would have been no problem but not now. The lack of riding due to the short day length and cold weather has taken its toll.
Keech Road and Route 6 (the portion on this ride) were recently repaved and we enjoyed the smooth surfaces. The stick-on striping on Route 6 was not sticking very well however.
Other than my slowness, it was a good ride and we enjoyed it.
Thank you for joining me Brad!
