Weather: A pleasant surprise, much nicer than forecast.  38 at the start rising to the low 50s, but instead of overcast it was clear and sunny with very little wind.

Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31815139  East on North Keys and Martin, a big loop to the south on Molly Berry, Baden Naylor, Baden Westwood, Westwood and Nelson Perrie back to Baden Naylor and Molly Berry, then down the 100' plunge to Rock Creek, back up and over to the Patuxent on Tanyard and back on Nottingham to a rest stop at the Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary.  After the break we took Nottingham to Croom and Candy Hill to Molly Berry back to North Keys.  Most of the group followed the full route down Cross Road Trail to Cherry Tree Crossing and back on Old Indian Head, while a few (feeling time pressure and wanting to make Sherwood's planning meeting for the Great Allegheny Passage tour) cut off five miles by staying on North Keys.

Mishaps & mechanicals: Deb Reynolds had a flat on Baden Naylor.  Fortunately it was the front tire, so the only new-and-different things about it were finding the "orange plastic thing" you stick between the disc brake pads and figuring out how a thru-axle works.  It would have been a very different story had it been in back, because this bike has an Ebikemotion X35 e-assist motor in the rear hub, and what with the wires and the rear axle fasteners, Some Disassembly Is Required (or so I've read).

AMS: 11.3 in back
