It was really foggy before the ride start but that mostly cleared. We left under overcast skies with wet roads from the rain during the night. We were anticipating the promised sunny weather.
About 10 miles from the rest stop it started to rain. It started as sprinkles but soon it was raining pretty steadily; by the time we reached the rest stop we were fairly wet and we were definitely cold. After we took a break the rain had mostly stopped.
As we completed the ride it gradually cleared and it was sunny and warm(ish) by the end.
Our average didn’t make it into AA territory but that was hardly unexpected given the time of year and how much I have been riding. In addition, the weather wasn’t really great for fast riding.
All-in-all it was a mixed ride due to the weather. I was glad to have gotten in the miles but I’m not so sure that Brad enjoyed it.
Thank you for joining me Brad!
