Route: the Friday wintertime favorite featuring the Indian Head Rail Trail from the Livingston Rd parking lot to White Plains and return.
Weather: temps in the low to mid 40s, mostly overcast with occasional bursts of sun, 12 mph WSW winds that provided a delightful tailwind outbound, not so delightful headwind on the return.
AMS: in the 12s
Report: another enjoyable late winter ride with good companionship and conversation. Janell rode from home to join us, getting more mileage than just the IHRT standard. We rode in small groups at varying speeds to White Plains; we were more of a group on the return. Didn't encounter too many other users except for the three guys that have the FAT tire eBikes going towards White Plains as we were headed back. Sightings of pairs of hawks were made between Bensville and Pomfret and again near the Bumpy Oak pond. Items of note: the permanent facilities at White Plains are now open again; St James Episcopal Church will be having their Fish Fry on March 13 & 27 and April 3. Good eating for $12 so expect rides on those dates to go there for lunch.
