11/21 - A Ride Around Nanjemoy

Sat, November 21, 2020 10:00 AM | Janell Saunders (Administrator)

Leader: Janell Saunders

Members: Sarah Clement, Walt Roscello

Route: A ride around Nanjemoy

Weather: A little cloudy to start that was supposed to clear, but got cloudier by rides end. Comfortable temps in the mid 60s

AMS: 12 – 13 for the ride leader

Mechanicals/Mishaps: None

Report:  This was the first time posting in Wild Apricot, but wasn't to bad by following the directions. I hadn't been down so far on 224/344 in a long time and welcomed the company. It was very pleasant and there was less traffic than expected, even on Rt. 6 and Rt. 425. Most was in the oncoming lanes. While on Baptist Church Rd, we found one of the longhorns, Ranger, strolling on the road, holding up a couple cars.  He seemed a mellow fellow, and we met the owners at the driveway as neighbors had called them. Ranger was retrieved by driving an ATV to his location and he would skedaddle home (it's basically a dinner bell).
