Weather: it never did rain, but it looked threatening at times. Upper 70s, humid
Embarrassing Mental Mishaps: leader had wrong start time in brain, thinking it was 9:30 until Janell called to inquire of our whereabouts. Thanks for everyone’s patience!
Report: Today was one of those days when you feel like any decision is wrong. At 6:30 AM it looked like rain would arrive by noon on our route, so the planned 64 was drastically reduced to 37 to be safe without canceling. The good news and bad news is that it didn’t rain at all, and we missed the opportunity to do a long ride, a route that had already been canceled once before.
Nevertheless we had a very good and satisfying ride, staying together and collaborating to end up with a good average. This ride was a rarity: cohesive, safe and collaborative at an A pace. Post-ride we discussed the need for more rides like this in the future, and how we could build the A category in our club.
