Leader: Ron Altemus
Members: Patricia Sanders, Joan Oppel, Pat Walthers, Kevin Foley
Route: advertised as starting at Pisgah Park, traversing Mason Springs and Smallwood Church before meandering down to the IHRT at Livingston. Return via Bumpy Oak, Hawthorne, Ripley, Poorhouse and Mason Springs. When we got to the portolet at Livingston, we decided a few more miles were needed so we went up Livingston and down Bumpy Oak for an extra mile. Then the Stukeys off of Poorhouse were included to get all of us at least 30 miles for the day.
Weather: gray overcast all day, temps staying in the mid 40s, slight breezes out of the E/SE. All in all, it felt rather cool with a hint of moisture in the air.
AMS: swept in the upper 12s
Report: very little traffic on many of the roads we traveled made for a decent pedal allowing the participants to continue to say they have "bicycled everyday this year!" Pat W. wasn't quite feeling 100% so she headed back to the start when we came to the end of Pisgah Marbury. The rest of us rode together for the remainder of the route. We welcomed Kevin to our group and hope he rides again with us in the near future.
