Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/34951317 37.3 miles; 1345' elevation change Outbound routing utilized Pomfret, Marshall Corner, Valley, Chapel Point, Fairgrounds, St Marys, and Oak to a planned rest stop at the La Plata Dash-in. Return had us traversing MD-6, Quailwood, Hawthorne, Bumpy Oak, the IHRT, and Chapmans Landing.
Weather: temps ranging from upper 30s to mid 40s; sunny start quickly giving way to gray overcast; 6-8 mph breezes out of the NNW
AMS: swept in the mid 11s
Mechanicals/Mishaps: Joan had a flat at our La Plata rest stop, which was at the park on St Marys instead of the Dash-In to avoid humongous crowds. Though we couldn't find the leaking spot in the tube, after replacing, she had no trouble returning to Bryan's Road.
Report: Road surfaces continued to be wet but fortunately, temperatures had risen high enough that we did not encounter any icing. Winter views are always so much different than when the trees have all of their leaves. The Port Tobacco river along Chapel Point Rd was quite visible and it is surprisingly close to the road at the eponymous park.
